This is something I just don't understand this. Pamela Anderson shows absolutely no respect for herself or for marriage. She is in her third marriage for the last 2 months, and now she is already thinking of ending it. Yesterday she filed for divorce, and now she says she is working it out. Marriage is not temporary. You need to think before entering a committment as this. Before being married to her current husband, Rick Salomon, she was married to Kid Rock, but that only lasted 3 months. She was married to her first husband, Tommy Lee, for 3 years, during wich they had 2 children. What a shining example she is for her children.

Idiot of the Day: Man Beat Boy For Putting Pink Fingernail Polish On Nails
C'mon now. This is not the stone age. It is not a crime, nor is it unhealthy for a 7 year old boy to put on pink nail polish. I cannot imagine how a father can beat his child, with a belt and leave bruises all over his body just for putting on pink nail polish. Aundre Jermaine Hill of Orange County, Florida has been arrested on child abuse charges. I am interested to see what his defense could possibly be. And how can he look his child in the eye again.

My Top Vocalists in Rock and Roll
OK, remember, this is MY list and MY opinions. And I could not limit it to 10.
1. Robert Plant - Lead singer of the greatest band ever. 'Nuff said.
Favorite Song: Kashmir
2. Geoff Tate - Lead singer for the band of Queensryche. WOW! What a voice. Powerful, emotive, intelligent. He is part of the reason that Operation: Mindcrime is one of my top all-time albums. He is as good today (if not better) as when Operation: Mindcrime was originally recorded.
Favorite Song: ALL of Operation: Mindcrime, especially Suite Sister Mary
3. Layne Staley - Passionate is a good word to describe the late Layne Staley. He put so much emotion in his vocals. We lost a great talent so early in his life. To really hear him, listen to Alice in Blunderland. Great live album.
Favorite Song: Would? and Grind (to be honest, my favorite song by AIC changes alot!)
4. Sebastian Bach - Powerful voice. Like no other. Listen to Quicksand Jesus.
Favorite Song: Quicksand Jesus
5. Jeff Keith - What a great voice! Alot of strength and passion for what he is doing. To hear the emotion he puts into a song, listen to Song and Emotion about the late Steve Clark.
Favorite Song: Changes and Caught Up In A Dream
6. Klaus Meine - I just love his voice. The Scorpions are one of my all time favorites. I have seen them in concert several times. They are such a great concert band. They know how to deliver.
Favorite Song: No One Like You
7. Eddie Vedder - Here is another one that I just plain like his voice. His lyrics are very inspiring and have something to say. He cares about his fans and shows it!
Favorite Song: Black and Evenflow
8. Chris Cornell - He was the lead singer/frontman for Audioslave and Soundgarden. What great bands! And what a voice.
Favorite Songs: Rusty Cage and Show Me How To Live
9. Scott Weiland - Another one I just like his voice. Very gritty.
Favorite Songs: Slither and Interstate Love Song
10. Don Dokken - Such passion and emotion! I can listen to him for hours. He is especially strong with his ballads, but can rock with anyone!
Favorite Song: Heaven Sent
11. Maynard Keenan - lead singer of Tool - very engimatic performer but with such strong, powerful vocals.
Favorite Songs: Vicarious, Sober, and of course, The Three Little Pigs!
12. Jon Bon Jovi - I have liked him since like 1986, in his long hair days. And I still love to hear him sing. Like Don Dokken, he can rock and he can sing a ballad that will melt your heart.
Favorite Songs: Always, Blaze of Glory, Only Lonely

Scott Weiland, of Velvet Revolver, formally charged with DUI, faces jail time
First off, let me admit that I am a huge fan of Velvet Revolver and especially of Stone Temple Pilots. I love Scott Weiland's voice. I am sorry I never saw STP in concert. I have one of their CD's in my car now and listen to it often. I also have both Velvet Revolver CD's. Love them too. However, Scott's apparent drug and alcohol problems I do not like. I don't know if he is guilty of this, but this is not the first time he has had problems due to these issues. In this incident, he refused to take blood tests (which he has that right), but he did take a breathalyzer test. The results have not been released, so I can't comment on that. But, if they do not show that he was above the limit, they have no case on him and he should walk. But I hope this is a sobering experience for him.
Here is a bit of both worlds for me (VR & STP):
Velvet Revolver Singer Scott Weiland Arrested For DUI
Scott Weiland Formally Charged For DUI; Could Face A Year In Jail
Scott Weiland Facing Jail Time for DUI
Prosecutor to Scott Weiland: You Were Hopped Up!
LA prosecutors charge Weiland with driving under the influence
Weiland Denies DUI

Song of the Day: Mercy, Mercy, Mercy by Ike Turner & the Kings of Rhythm at Montreux Jazz Festival, 2002
Since Ike Turner passed away today, I want to give him this tribute as today's Song of the Day.
Ike Turner, dead at age 76, a life of fame and infamy
Ike Turner, member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, rock pioneer, drug addict, womanizer and wife abuser, died today at the age of 76. He was a brilliant musician, whose career achievements have been overshadowed (and rightfully so) by his private life, one that became very public. But before all of that was public, Ike and Tina Turner were magnificent on stage. The energy overwhelming! Over the years as Tina's career was on the rise, it appeared that Ike's was going in the opposite direction. He had two failed albums, and then had to spend time in prison on drug-related charges. In fact, he was in prison when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with his former wife, Tina. She accepted the award for both of them.
After he got out of prison, he no longer used drugs or alcohol and it appears that his career was doing much better. In fact, this year, he won a Grammy for his Risin' With the Blues album, a more traditional blues album.
On a personal side, he was married 4 times and had 4 known children. However, he always denied abusing Tina, but in his autobiography, (and get this name: Sure, I've slapped Tina... There have been times when I punched her to the ground without thinking. But I never beat her he did admit to some abuse. He also denied being legally married to her (but didn't he get a legal divorce and claim ALL of their assets???) My guess is that after all of the abuse became public knowledge and his prison time, he was embarassed by the mistakes he made (especially the movie What's Love Got To Do With It and tried to justify himself. It did not work.
