First off, let me admit that I am a huge fan of Velvet Revolver and especially of Stone Temple Pilots. I love Scott Weiland's voice. I am sorry I never saw STP in concert. I have one of their CD's in my car now and listen to it often. I also have both Velvet Revolver CD's. Love them too. However, Scott's apparent drug and alcohol problems I do not like. I don't know if he is guilty of this, but this is not the first time he has had problems due to these issues. In this incident, he refused to take blood tests (which he has that right), but he did take a breathalyzer test. The results have not been released, so I can't comment on that. But, if they do not show that he was above the limit, they have no case on him and he should walk. But I hope this is a sobering experience for him.
Here is a bit of both worlds for me (VR & STP):

I'm sure it sucks to be Scott Weiland at times. He is an admitted clinically diagnosed bipolar and opts not to take theraputic medication. This only leads to the abuse of illegal drugs.
Though his creative talent is undeniable, he is undoubtedly one of the most tortured artists of our time.
I guess there goes all hope of STP hooking back up.
