Murder and Rape in Salt Lake City, UT

This is an "interesting" case, to say the least. At first, we were told of a body being found on a lawn. His identity turned out to be Raymond McGaughy, who apparently was recently released from prison (drug related charges). Then we heard that the house where his body was dropped off was under investigation for another crime, a gang rape. In a house where children lived and were at the time of the alleged rape, whose mother allegedly held the victim down and stuck a sock in her mouth so her screams would not bother her children. Some very sick people indeed. It appears to me that the murder of Raymond McGaughy is probably in retaliation for the gang rape. But so far, no word on that from the police.
