Chicago Red Cross: We're Willing To Help With Loss And Grief Of When Bears Win
(STNG) CHICAGO The greater Chicago Red Cross doled out cold weather safety tips for locals -- while also offering counseling help to Indianapolis after they're "defeated by the Chicago Bears."
First off, the local Red Cross offered crisis counseling support to its colleagues at the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis to help them with any post Super Bowl feelings of loss and grief “when their team is defeated by the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI this Sunday,” according to a press release from the Red Cross.
“Every day in the greater Chicago area, we counsel individuals who are impacted by fires and other emergencies,” chief response officer LaForice Nealy said in the release. “We are very experienced in helping people through disasters and we will be ready to do the same for our Indianapolis colleagues on Monday.”
The Red Cross will also host a Super Bowl spirit day and chili cook off on Friday, where staff and volunteers are encouraged to wear their favorite NFL gear -- preferably orange and blue, the release said.
